As we all know, the plastic films commonly used in the preservation of fruits and vegetables are made of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride and other materials. These materials are not degradable, and the cling film for fruits and vegetables is generally disposable, and it is difficult to recycle after use. Reuse will easily cause serious pollution to the environment.
Biodegradable materials such as polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene succinate (PBS), polybutylene succinate adipate (PBSA), poly(butylene terephthalate-co-hexyl) Butylene diacid ester (PBAT), polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), etc. are all biodegradable polymer materials. After use, these materials are discarded in the nature and can be degraded into H2O and CO2; if biodegradable materials are used to prepare fresh-keeping film for fruits and vegetables, it will have a good protective effect on the environment. However, the fresh-keeping film prepared directly from biodegradable materials still has many problems in use, such as the gas barrier properties and water vapor permeability of the fresh-keeping film do not meet the requirements, which makes the fresh-keeping food easy to spoil. In addition, fruits and vegetables in the fresh-keeping bag will continuously release ethylene gas, which is the ripening agent of fruits and vegetables. If the ethylene gas released by fruits and vegetables is not effectively removed, the preservation time of fruits and vegetables will be greatly shortened.
