Description of biodegradable plastics
Jul 03, 2020
Biodegradable plastics are a class of plastics that are degraded by microorganisms such as bacteria, molds (fungi) and algae. Ideal biodegradable plastic is a kind of polymer material with excellent performance, which can be completely decomposed by environmental microorganisms and finally be inorganic and become a part of carbon cycle in nature. "Paper" is a typical biodegradable material, and "synthetic plastic" is a typical polymer material. Therefore, biodegradable plastic is both "paper" and "synthetic plastic" these two material properties of polymer materials.
